Cost Plus World Market Opens In Framingham, Massachusetts


Specialty Retailer to Grand Open Its First Store in the Boston Area on Thursday, October 1, 2015

Cost Plus World Market® is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its first store in the Boston area. The new store in Framingham, Massachusetts is located in Shoppers World at 1 Worcester Road. Based in California, Cost Plus World Market is already well known for its eclectic assortment of unique and authentic home furniture, décor, tabletop items, jewelry and accessories, and more from around the world

World Market buyers travel the globe visiting remote villages, centuries-old factories and foreign bazaars and markets searching for affordable products to offer its customers, including baskets from the Philippines, chocolates from Belgium, pottery from Portugal, collectibles from Africa, and gourmet food and wine from around the world.

To start the Framingham store’s grand opening celebration, a ribbon cutting with city officials and members of the local chamber of commerce on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 9:00 am officially marks the opening of the store. The first 100 shoppers through the door on October 1, 2015 will receive a $10 Cost Plus World Market gift card. From Thursday, October 1 through Sunday, October 4, 2015, the first 100 customers will receive a free reusable World Market tote bag. In addition, the store will host a twice-daily raffle prize of a $250 World Market gift card throughout the grand opening weekend. Customers will also be able to enjoy live entertainment, food and beverage sampling and more throughout the weekend.

Adding to the celebration, World Market welcomes Jonathan and Drew Scott, hosts of “Property Brothers,” to the store on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. The first 200 shoppers to bring in five non-perishable, non-glass food items to donate to the HOPE Worldwide Framingham Food Pantry will have a chance to meet Jonathan and Drew.
