Cost Plus World Market® Launches Third Annual “Share The Joy” Sweepstakes From Now Through December 21

Celebrity Chef Curtis Stone to Make In-Store Appearance on Saturday, December 8 to Help Support Specialty Retailer’s Sharing Campaign

OAKLAND, Calif.; November 26, 2012—Cost Plus World Market® (www.worldmarket.com) has long been committed to giving back to the communities in which it does business. As part of this commitment and to celebrate the season of giving, World Market® has kicked off its third annual “Share the Joy” campaign and sweepstakes giving Facebook fans the opportunity to enter for a chance to win a $5,000 American Express gift card. Five winners will be selected at random, and in addition to winning a $5,000 gift card, World Market will make a $5,000 donation to each of the five winners’ charity of choice.* To enter for a chance to win the Share the Joy sweepstakes, which runs now through December 21, go to www.facebook.com/worldmarket.

To help World Market spread the joy this season, celebrity chef Curtis Stone will make an in-store appearance and sign autographs at the Farmer’s Market store location in Los Angeles on Saturday, December 8 from 10:00 am–12:00 pm. Chef Stone is host of the popular television shows Top Chef Masters and Around the World in 80 Plates and makes regular guest appearances on The Biggest Loser.

In the spirit of “Share the Joy,” the specialty retailer is asking attendees of Chef Stone’s appearance to bring five non-perishable goods to the event, which will be donated to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. The first 200 fans to bring five non-perishable food items to the event will receive a signed photograph and an opportunity to be photographed with Chef Stone.

During these challenging economic times, the company is thrilled to offer support to its Facebook fans’ favorite charities. Last year’s non-profit organization recipients included local hospitals, food banks and children’s organizations.

Since 1958, World Market has been the shopping destination for gift giving during the holidays. From home décor, jewelry, accessories, gourmet food and wine to stocking stuffers, the specialty retailer has ideas for every budget.

*Some restrictions apply; charity must be a U.S. 5013c non-profit organization; go to www.facebok.com/worldmarket for full sweepstakes entry rules.
