Cost Plus World Market® Celebrates The Grand Opening Of Its New Charlotte, North Carolina Location

Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, September 12, 2013 Kicks Off Weekend of In-Store Events

OAKLAND, Calif.; September 9, 2013—Cost Plus World Market® ( is excited to announce the grand opening of its latest Charlotte, North Carolina store in the Cotswold Village Shops. The new Cost Plus World Market® store, located at 330 South Sharon Amity Road, will carry a wide selection of unique and affordable merchandise from around the world for which the retailer has become known.

To start the celebration, a ribbon cutting with city officials and members of the local chamber of commerce on Thursday, September 12 at 9:00 am officially marks the opening of the store. In addition, the first 200 customers through the doors each day from Thursday, September 12 through Sunday, September 15, 2013 will receive a free reusable Cost Plus World Market tote bag. The Cotswold store will also offer food and beverage sampling, live music and will hold daily raffle drawings with prizes that include $100 Cost Plus World Market gift cards and gift baskets. On Saturday, September 14 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm, Rebecca Gordon, Contributing Editor of Southern Living magazine, will host a live cooking demo and food tastings inside the store. All events are free, open to the public and RSVPs are not necessary.
