Oakland, Calif. (November 24, 2010)—Cost Plus World Market (www.worldmarket.com) is thrilled to welcome world champion baseball player Cody Ross to its San Francisco store on Wednesday, December 1 from 12– 2pm to support World Market’s food drive donation to the SF Food Bank. Fresh off of a winning baseball season, Cody will be appearing at the specialty retailer’s location at 2552 Taylor St. (at Bay St.) to sign baseballs for the first 300 qualifying fans.*
In the spirit of the season of giving, World Market will be collecting non-perishable food items for the San Francisco Food Bank the day of the event. The first 300 fans that make a minimum donation of five items will receive a ticket for a chance to meet Cody. Employees of World Market will begin passing out tickets when the store opens at 9am.
In addition to supporting the San Francisco Food Bank’s efforts, World Market is sponsoring “Share the Joy,” a Facebook-only promotion in which six Facebook fans will win a $5,000 World Market gift card and a charity of each winner’s choice will receive $5,000 through December 11.** More information about the “Share the Joy” campaign can be found at www.facebook.com/worldmarket.
