World Market Invites Nashville Residents to Discover What’s In-Store at Three New Store Locations
Grand Opening on Thursday, March 6 at 9:00 a.m. kicking off an entire weekend of events
Oakland, CA — February 21, 2008 — Nashville residents will soon have three new World Market (www.worldmarket.com) stores from which to choose to shop for their favorite home entertaining and gift giving needs. The new stores located at the Nashville West Shopping Center, the Avenue at Murfreesboro, and the Glenbrook Shopping Center in Hendersonville will have all the great merchandise for which World Market has become known, including a selection of home furnishings, décor, fashion accessories and personal care items from around the world all under one roof.
“Nashville is an exciting new market for World Market and we’re thrilled to be opening three stores here. Nashville and its rapidly growing suburbs of Murfreesboro and Hendersonville are important locations and the demographics for each fit our customer base” said Mike Allen, World Market’s Executive Vice President of Store Operations.
The grand opening celebration in Nashville West begins on Wednesday, March 5 with a Sneak Preview Benefit Shopping Night from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. A portion of the evening’s net proceeds will be donated to the Frist Center for the Visual Arts in Nashville (www.fristcenter.org). The Murfreesboro and Hendersonville grand opening celebrations begin on Wednesday, March 5 with sneak preview parties at both locations from 5:00-7:00 p.m. In addition to shopping, guests will enjoy live music and samplings of World Market inspired appetizers, snacks and drinks.
On Thursday, March 6, all are invited to join local city dignitaries at the ribbon cutting ceremonies beginning at 8:45 a.m. followed by the official opening to the public at 9:00 a.m. at each of our three new locations. The first 50 customers on Friday will receive a World Market “Scratch for Savings” scratcher. These scratchers reveal varied prizes including in-store discounts. Throughout the weekend, the store will host live music, food and beverage samplings, balloons for kids, radio remotes, and more. The Nashville West store also welcomes Linus Hall, owner and brewmaster of Nashville’s own Yazoo Brewing Company, on March 6, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
From Thursday, March 6 through Sunday, March 9, shoppers should be sure to enter for a chance to win our Grand Opening Sweepstakes where winners will be selected from our three Nashville locations.
