World Market Invites Lubbock Residents to Discover What's In-Store at the New Store in The Canyon West Shopping center
Grand Opening on Thursday, March 20 at 9:00 a.m. kicking off a weekend of events
Oakland, CA — February 21, 2008 — Lubbock residents will soon have a new World Market (www.worldmarket.com) store to shop for their favorite home entertaining and gift giving needs. The new store, located at the Canyon West Shopping Center at 6066 Marsha Sharp Freeway, will have all the great merchandise for which World Market has become known, including a selection of home furnishings, décor, fashion accessories and personal care items from around the world all under one roof.
“Our Lubbock location is an exciting addition and extension of our already strong presence in Texas. With 32 World Market stores in Texas, it’s proven to be a great fit for us. We hope to continue our success in the market with our new Lubbock store,” said Mike Allen, World Market’s Executive Vice President of Store Operations.
The grand opening celebration begins on Wednesday, March 19 with a Sneak Preview from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. In addition to shopping, guests will enjoy live music and samplings of World Market inspired appetizers, snacks and drinks.
On Thursday, March 20, all are invited to join local city dignitaries at the ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at 8:45 a.m. followed by the official opening to the public at 9:00 a.m. The first 50 customers on Friday will receive a World Market “Scratch for Savings” scratcher. These scratchers reveal varied prizes including in-store discounts. Throughout the weekend, the store will host live music, food and beverage samplings, balloons for kids, radio remotes, and more.
From March 19 through March 21, shoppers should be sure to enter for a chance to win our Grand Opening Sweepstakes.
