Cost Plus World Market Invites Flagstaff Residents to Discover What's In-Store in Flagstaff Mall and the Marketplace Location
Grand Opening on Thursday, March 6 at 9:00 a.m. kicking off an entire weekend of events
Oakland, CA — February 21, 2008 — Flagstaff residents will no longer have to travel to the Phoenix area to discover great finds at Cost Plus World Market when a new location opens on March 6, 2008 at Flagstaff Mall and The Marketplace. The new store, located at 5005 E. Marketplace Drive, will have all the great merchandise for which World Market has become known, including a selection of home furnishings, décor, fashion accessories and personal care items from around the world all under one roof.
“We’re thrilled to be opening a new Cost Plus World Market in Flagstaff. This is a growing city that is rich in history and cultural diversity in a somewhat unique location. We’re excited to bring our store and our distinctive merchandise mix to the community while continuing our growth in the Arizona marketplace” said Mike Allen, Cost Plus World Market’s Executive Vice President of Store Operations.
The grand opening celebration begins on Wednesday, March 5 with a sneak preview party from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. In addition to shopping, guests will enjoy live music and samplings of Cost Plus World Market inspired appetizers, snacks and drinks, as well as a bottle signing and wine tasting with the winemaker from Chalone Vineyard in California.
On Thursday, March 6, all are invited to join local city dignitaries at the ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at
8:45 a.m. followed by the official grand opening to the public at 9:00 a.m. The first 50 customers on Thursday will receive a Cost Plus World Market “Scratch for Savings” scratcher. These scratchers reveal varied prizes including in-store discounts. Throughout the weekend, the store will host live music, food and beverage samplings, balloons for kids, radio remotes, wine tastings, and more.
From March 6 through March 9, shoppers should be sure to enter for a chance to win our Grand Opening Sweepstakes.
