World Market Invites Webster Residents to Discover What's In-Store at the New Store in the Baybrook Gateway Shopping Center
Grand Opening on Thursday, March 27 at 9:00 a.m. kicking off a weekend of events
Oakland, CA — February 20, 2008 — Webster residents will no longer have to travel to Houston to shop World Market (www.worldmarket.com) for their favorite home entertaining and gift giving needs. The new store, located at the Baybrook Gateway Shopping Center, will have all the great merchandise for which World Market has become known, including a selection of home furnishings, décor, fashion accessories and personal care items from around the world all under one roof.
“With a strategic position between Galveston and Houston, our Webster location is an exciting addition and extension of our already strong presence in Texas. With 32 World Market stores in Texas, it’s proven to be a great fit for us. We hope to continue our success in the market with our new store,” said Mike Allen, World Market’s Executive Vice President of Store Operations.
The grand opening celebration begins on Wednesday, March 26 with a Sneak Preview from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. In addition to shopping, guests will enjoy live music and samplings of World Market inspired appetizers, snacks and drinks, and wine tastings.
On Thursday, March 27, all are invited to join local city dignitaries at the ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at 8:45 a.m. followed by the official opening to the public at 9:00 a.m. The first 50 customers on Friday will receive a World Market “Scratch for Savings” scratcher. These scratchers reveal varied prizes including in-store discounts. Throughout the weekend, the store will host live music, food and beverage samplings, balloons for kids, radio remotes, and more.
From March 26 through March 30, shoppers should be sure to enter for a chance to win our Grand Opening Sweepstakes.
