Cost Plus World Market Names Winners of Its $20,000 Ultimate Expeditions Instant Win Game

Three winners and their guests will travel to one of three exotic locations across the globe

Oakland, CA — January 10, 2008 — Cost Plus World Market is pleased to announce the names of the three lucky winners of its “$20,000 Ultimate Expeditions Instant Win Game.” The three winners were one of the first 100 customers to show up at their local Cost Plus World Market store on Friday, November 23, 2007 to receive a specially-marked Ghirardelli® Intense Dark™ chocolate bar for free. Each chocolate bar contained a scratcher game piece with various prizes, including the three National Geographic Expedition trips worth $20,000 to China, Egypt and India.

The three winners who scratched their game piece to reveal their expedition destination prize are Susan Maxfield of Brooklyn Center, MN who will be traveling to Asia with her sister; Michael Terry of Port Neches, TX who will be traveling to Africa with his wife; and Terri Schutte of Wilmington, NC who will be traveling to India with a lucky friend. In addition, one person won a year’s supply of Ghirardelli chocolates and several customers at all store locations won various in-store prizes and shopping discounts.
